#YaleProject Explained

Hello my fellow Salem Heathens! You have been directed to this page because someone thinks you might be interested in taking part in the secret Seth Gabel birthday project! Code-named #YaleProject because historically Cotton Mather helped Yale get off the ground--despite how Increase Mather was President of Harvard. So it's a remotely related tag. :)

I am asking for your help to show Seth some birthday love from the fandom on his birthday.

Here is all you have to do!

Draw, paint, sculpt, sew, knit, write a birthday greeting or fandom-related thing or even just a Seth-related thing (please keep it tasteful) and share it with Seth on his birthday. Tag any post you make on twitter or facebook with the #YaleProject tag so all of the birthday greetings can be organized to one tag.

Seth's 33rd birthday is October 3rd, so you have 18 days to create something before the big day on the 3rd.

Let's also do some good to help the world with this project. A very close friend of Seth's, Marianna Palka, was diagnosed with the gene which causes Huntington's Disease. Lucy Walker directed the documentary The Lion's Mouth Opens where Palka shares her story. Seth and his wife Bryce Dallas Howard can also be seen. Please consider giving a donation to the HDSA.org. If you make a donation, please email me at salemyaleproject@gmail.com and let me know how much you donated, so at the end Seth can be told how much was raised.

The other thing I ask is that if you talk about the project, call it the #YaleProject and don't mention anything about Seth's birthday. Please post the link to this explanation to people in PMs, e-mails, and other messages. We do not want Seth stumbling over it and spoiling it. I want Seth to be surprised that the fandom came together to help wish him a happy birthday.

Much thanks everyone!
